CAROLYN EDLUND - Oil
There is the potential for any subject in my field of vision to stimulate an interest in interpreting it artistically. Nature stimulates a sense of belonging, an intimacy, perhaps even a telepathic
communication of sorts, and a meditative, spiritual aura.
My paintings capture a moment in time enabling me to return repeatedly, yet allow me to imagine nature’s inexorable change.
I love color, the depth, and luminosity that the juxtaposition of several colors creates. I aim for the emergence of a palpable personality, one that the viewer can define according to his or her own unique mindset.
